SURVIVORSHIP

Life After Cancer
A cancer survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer - from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. Healthy survival is not just about survival; it’s also about thriving and living well. Survivorship is helping patients live well through the emotional, physical and practical challenges of finding a “new normal”. Katmai Oncology Group offers professional staff resources to help patients work through issues such as: - Coping with the fear of recurrence - Improving body image and personal confidence - Finding the life lessons or “silver linings” that are part of many patients’ journey through a cancer diagnosis - The ultimate goal is the patient's long-term mental and physical health and an excellent quality of life post cancer.
